It took me 569 days to reach it
Here is what I learned
1. Subscriber count is meaningless
→ Building a business ≠ building audience
→ Audience helps
→ But it shouldn’t be the goal
You can be a big influencer and be broke.
The same goes for getting a job as a Developer - audience helps, but only skills matter
2. Going viral is overrated
→ 5 my best posts have 1 million+ impressions
→ It brings 0 revenue
→ Most people start working with me after posts just a few likes
It’s relatively easy to write a viral post.
It’s hard to convert impressions into real connections (= customers)
3. Algorithm doesn't matter
→ Daily
→ 3x per week
→ Weekly
You can post at any time, with any cadence.
If your posts are good
→ They will be picked by the LinkedIn algorithm
But it doesn’t matter.
What matters is
→ Changed Lives
→ Connections
→ Trust
Writing on LinkedIn is the best thing that has happened to me
And I can’t imagine not doing it.
Thank you everyone for sticking with me for 596 days ❤️
This email is a bit more about behind the scenes of building a business
