7 daily habits that made me a better salesforce developer
Saying “I don’t know”
If you actually don’t know - there is no point in saying something else. Add “but I can research and come back later” and people will admire your communication skills.
Strong opinions, loosely held
I am very convinced in what I say, but I will drop any belief I have in a second if I am wrong.
Document privately
What did you discuss with John last week on Monday at 2 pm? It’s impossible to memorize. But 5 minutes of writing a summary will make you a 10x colleague.
Communicating frequently
Just sending a short message of what’s the status of the task is huge. It’s simple. But will simplify the life of your Team Lead.
Writing clean code
Salesforce Development world is small. If everyone writes clean code, our job will be way easier.
Planning before writing code
Understand. Plan. Write.
Seeking Feedback
You can just ask for feedback. It will be the second best to do for your career (mentoring is still the best).
Notice: It’s mostly about soft skills.
Coding opens doors into the Salesforce Development world.
Soft skills send your career to the moon.
Focus on soft skills. Coding will come naturally with time.

P.S. I am thinking of taking two more people to help get started with Apex. Would you like to work with me 1:1? Reply “yes” :)
