Today, I had a call with a Junior Salesforce Developer

And she asked me

“Igor, how do I become a Middle Developer. I hate being a Junior.”

→ She was expecting me to say some unknown secret
→ Some kind of magic she can use

But there is no secret.

Going from Junior → Middle developer is literally:

→ Do more projects
→ Have a good mentor
→ Increase the difficulty of projects

That’s it.

And you know it :)

But here is why it feels like something is missing:
→ The progress is slow
→ If measured day-by-day

Every day you wake up 0.001% better developer

→ So you still can’t find that damn bug
→ But you are getting better.

Measure the progress in months (not days)

Don’t let the mind fool you

You’ve got this.

Keep crushing it.
