The anatomy of succesfull developer career

The difficulty of a Salesforce Developer (or any dev) career is that you have to take different actions to progress to the next level.

What took you to junior, won't take you mid/senior level as a Salesforce Developer.

To become a junior, I used a PTP framework

  • Practice

  • Theory

  • Projects

But to get to the senior level, I had to learn:

  • Best practices

  • Architecture

  • Clean Code

  • Scalability

Practice doesn’t matter that much anymore.

For example: You can spend 3 days reading a book that will have a 10x impact on your skills

Or you can spend months grinding a boring project, that won’t move you on the career ladder at all

I know it from my last project, where I had to create 20 Visualforce PDFs.

Did I learn anything new? Nah.

Was it a lot of practice? Hell yeah.

The more experience you get - the more attention you need to pay to what you work on.

Happy coding 🤘

P.S. I do salesforce coding live streams every sunday on my YT channel. Would be nice to see you there :)
