Don't become an admin

“I need to become an Admin first, and only then a developer, right?” - student this week on the call.

No. I never worked as an Admin.

And I am still a good developer.

You can get into Salesforce Development in two ways:

1. You know Salesforce

2. You know coding

Good developers are in such a shortage that you can get hired just by being good at coding

(market is not down for good devs)

So here is a simple rule:
→ Want to be a developer? Learn development.

It doesn’t make any sense to take a different with a big plan to pivot one day into coding

Let’s not overcomplicate :)
