How I passed PD1 in 30 days

“Have you ever been less busy?”

That was the question of my first mentor

I replied:

“Well, I guess no”

“See Igor, you will always have less time”

“Now I task you with passing this damn Platform Developer 1 this month…. or you won’t get a raise this month”

Damn. I really want to get a raise.

I already pictured myself drinking a cold mojito under the hot Italian sun

All of my excuses vanished as soon as I had a real deadline

→ “I don’t have time right now”
→ “I want to finish this project first”
→ “I will be more free next month”

Boom. Gone.

Now somehow I have time. Somehow I am more efficient with projects.

Mojito won’t pay for itself.

So here is what I did

→ Stopped doing Trailhead
→ Focus on most frequent topics
→ Used Anki cards to memorize information

And….

I passed with over 90% on the first try

So here is the question for you:
→ Will you ever get less busy?
→ Do you really have no time or is it a story you tell yourself?

I tell it myself all the time

(…and then go on watching Netflix for 3 hours)

There is a lot of potential in us

Sometimes, we just need a real deadline :D
